What about worship?

An English-language service meets on Sunday mornings in the HIS multi-purpose room. Known as Newman Memorial Chapel, this service is usually attended by about 200 people, at least during the school semester. There are also many Indonesian churches in town who welcome westerners. 

There are opportunities for ministry outside of the classroom and off the campus should teachers be interested: attending Bible studies, tutoring English language students, training young people to prepare for further education and service outside Papua, discipling through sports teams, playing with worship bands, or visiting orphanages.
