The elementary and middle school has approximately 100 students (K-8). The E/MS campus is adjacent to, but nicely separated from, the high school area. E/MS classrooms are fully air-conditioned. Its campus has its own pondoks, covered eating areas, and playground. Half the computer lab is just for E/MS students. The library is also subdivided with a large area designated for E/MS books and resources. The gym, soccer field, and auditorium are shared by both E/MS and high school.
Each morning classes begin with prayer and Bible study. Along with the standard subjects, music is made an integral part of life at HIS. Grades K-3 have two period of vocal music weekly, but grades 4-5 have three. Instrumental instruction is given to all middle school students (6-8) three times weekly. Musical concerts are performed twice each semester. Parent volunteers provide art instruction weekly. The school has special education and ESL teachers as well as a speech pathologist.
