The Student Council generally organizes two school spirit weeks during the year (E/MS and high school are separate) in which students dress up and compete for a class prize. Each day has a particular dress-up theme: beach, class color, formal, etc. and during lunch students enter games for a student store gift certificate. The Spirit Sticks are also a large part of Spirit Week. The holder of the stick (a rubber chicken or a toilet brush) must remain silent; if he does not, the stick is passed to the one he speaks to. Though it is generally more exciting for elementary and middle schoolers, the high school also enjoys the week: dressing up, going wild, and leaving comfort zones.
